A Few Things About Pound Rescue

Pound Rescue volunteers gathered at Southland Park to help with dog photos with Santa.

  • We are a registered charity.
  • We help lost and abandoned animals to either be reunited with their owners or find a new home.
  • We are a NO KILL organization.
  • We admit animals according to space and urgency. People who adopt from us help two animals: the one they adopt and thus creating space for us to take in another abandoned animal.
  • We offer financial assistance to low income families to spay/neuter their animals.
  • We educate about the importance of spaying/neutering all animals to reduce over-population.
  • We are a volunteer only organization with no paid positions.
  • All donations received go to the direct care of the animals; vet care, food, adoption advertising, etc.
  • Pound Rescue does not spend money on fund-raising.
  • In 2008, our goal is to raise $50,000 to help animals. Approximately 10% of this will be spent on education.
