Our new barn cat program!

Pound rescue is pleased to announce our new barn cat program to help find suitable homes for the area’s feral (wild) and semi-feral cat populations. We are looking for cat lovers who have barns or other secure outdoor structures (horse stables, warehouse, or other suitable locations) and are interested in adopting cats not suitable for life inside a house or are just plain unhappy living inside. We have healthy cats all spayed/neutered, all vaccinations up to date, de-wormed and tattooed.

Cats must be adopted in pairs as the move will be less traumatic and adjustment to their new home will be easier if they have the security of one or more trusted companions.  These cats are to be afforded with the same care & compassion that would normally be given to a house pet. Responsibilities include providing daily food and water, protection from the elements, and long-term vet care. After a short period of two weeks of secure confinement, the cats will accept their new home.  Adoption fees are only $50 for a cat that is spayed or neutered, vaccinated and tatooed.
