Duchess (left) and Duke (right) are hounds. They have been together for most of their lives. Duke is 10 years old and Duchess is 6 years old, both have been fixed. Their owner abandoned them and they desperately need a forever home. They are very friendly, laid back and lovable.

This poor dog was rescued from a home where she and was left tied to a truck with no food or water. When we first picked her up she was very timid and nervous but within a few days she is quickly came around. She shows no sign of dog aggression. Her foster home has many dogs and Delilah gets along with them all. We are not yet sure how she is with cats yet.
We estimate she is about 3 years old and likely a Border collie cross. She was recently spayed and is recovering from surgery.

I am a strikingly handsome fellow. If you call my name I will not be able to hear you though, because I am deaf. Please don’t hold this against me, my other qualities make up for my handicap. Nikki is a super sweet girl and is very loyal. She follows her foster dad around the yard whenever he is working in the garden. She gets along well with everyone however would do best in a home without children as she can be protective of them. She knows sit, lie down and shake a paw.

**UPDATE**
Gracie is a very delightful 2 year old girl. She was found last fall on a reserve east of Calgary. Only skin and bones, she was so timid and nervous. She has since been around many people and LOVES everyone's attention. She is being fostered by her trainer, Pest to Pet. Gracie is now well socialized living with 5 other dogs, going off leash with no problem. Her trainer has started her in agility classes and hopes her next family will continue. She has gone from shy and jumping on everyone to a well trained and happy dog. We are very grateful to Pest to Pet for helping this dog. |

Mindy is a heart stealer! She was found nearly 3 months ago, only skin and bones roaming the streets searching for food. It took us numerous attempts to catch her and bring her to safety. When we first got her she was extremely scared of people and hid under her blanket for the majority of the day. It took nearly 2 months before she began to trust people but is still very nervous.
Mindy needs to be in a home that understands her needs, and has experience with dogs. Her new guardians need to realize that it will take her time to adjust to a new situation and to familiarize herself. She is very gentle and gets along well with other dogs. She CAN'T go into a home with children or cats as they are too fast moving for her and will set her back. Her foster dad is in love with her and is growing attached by the day but feels it would be best for her to be in a home where she gets plenty of one on one.
We know that her future guardian(s) are out there, we are just waiting for the perfect match!

Cher has made some huge improvements over the past three weeks! She is learning to trust people and enjoys walking on a leash. Her foster parents even took her for a 42 km hike and she kept up. She is also fine with children. It would be best for Cher to be in a home where she will get plenty of one on one.

Meet Paula and look no further. She is just a sweet Lab cross, even though her looks would scare away any prowler on your property. She came to us pregnant, out of a pound after being abandoned. Most likely she had never seen much good in her life. For her, we envision a single male or female, gentle people who train with patience and make up to her where others have failed. She loves to play (any toy will do) and she loves human company. |

Bella is a sweet dog who has gotten along WONDERFULLY with animals and people of all sizes. She is currently being fostered in a home with 5 dogs. When she goes to work with her foster mom she is very sweet and gentle with the resident cats. She would LOVE to go to a home where she has a buddy to play with.
She has recovered from hip surgery and she is back to her normal, playful self! She will always walk with a bit of a limp but she shouldn't have any further problems!
